42. Value Honesty

I'd love to have a conversation on valuing honesty.

G’day, Richard here.

To me honesty is the first step in helping people see that no problem's too big for us to act and leave the world better for what we've done.

But it ain't easy. (Right?)

I feel a huge loss of trust politically, corporately, and even an individual level whereby it's harder to speak your truth. Or at least, we perceive that it's harder to speak our truth.

I've been left torn, I don't know about you, but I've been left torn at times with a bit of a war going on inside my head that leaves me playing safer and quieter over the last couple of years than I've ever done before in my life.

But the more I've come to grips with what I've known to be true within me, the more I feel able to speak to what I know; to also speak to what I don't know, and then say what I think.

Importantly, I've been conscious on maintaining the separation between those three because that opens a conversation (Right?)

People can challenge what you know, can share what they know that you don't, and we can explore together what we think. So, enabling conversations to become anchored in those shared truths.

When we speak openly in such an environment, we find we can work artfully together and no problem's too big for us to act and leave the world better for what we've done. (Hey?)

Let me know what you think. Pop a comment onto LinkedIn.

And I look forward to coming back and speaking with you, there, on Friday.

Cheers now...

Richard
